Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior RF Spectrum Policy Analyst/Engineer to support spectrum policy for DoD and civil agencies. On-site work in Chantilly, VA or El Segundo, CA, or Colorado Springs, CO is required, with travel as needed. The role blends policy advocacy, technical analysis, and program coordination.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in RF spectrum, ITU/NTIA/FCC policy experience, and strong briefing skills. TS/SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required for clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of ITU/NTIA/FCC spectrum management processes.
  • Prior experience with spectrum policy and coordination.
  • Knowledge of RF communications systems and architectures.
  • Project development experience and ability to lead small teams of engineers.
  • Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports.
  • Some travel (<10%) anticipated.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate national and international spectrum policy activities and impacts.
  • Support development and implementation of spectrum plans and policies.
  • Advocate for policy positions to protect spectrum use.
  • Provide technical analysis for spectrum reallocation studies.
  • Coordinate with program offices, spectrum agencies and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers in spectrum management and engineering.
