Job summary

Leidos’ NISC IV program seeks an Electrical Engineer/ RF Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The role involves investigating RF interference impacting CNS systems across the NAS, with on-site and remote field investigations as needed.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in RF engineering, experience with spectrum analysis, RDF, and RF test equipment, and the ability to travel for field assignments. US citizenship is required, with strong analytical and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of RF engineering, spectrum management, interference mitigation, or wireless communications.
• Experience conducting RF interference investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, monitoring receivers, signal generators, RF power meters).
• Experience with radio direction finding equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of RF interference affecting mission-critical systems.
• Perform on-site and remote RF interference investigations to identify and resolve sources.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of intermittent/persistent RF interference events.
• Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and verify mitigation.
