Job summary

Leidos’ NISC IV program seeks an Electrical Engineer/RF Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group in Fort Worth, Texas. The role focuses on RF spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, field investigations, and coordination with regulatory bodies to secure NAS operations.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in electrical engineering with 2+ years of RF experience, can travel as needed, and is eligible for an active security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field).
• 2+ years of RF engineering experience.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Ability to learn FAA-specific software and systems.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and receive reports of RF interference affecting NAS operations.
• Evaluate urgency and impact of RFI reports to prioritize responses.
• Conduct remote and on-site RF interference investigations using historical data and RF tools.
• Perform field investigations with spectrum analyzers, direction finders, and portable antennas.
• Prepare reports detailing methods, findings, and resolutions for senior management.
