Job summary

Leidos' NISC IV program in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer/RF Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The work focuses on RF spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, field investigations, and on-site surveys to keep NAS communications interference-free.

The ideal candidate has a BS in electrical engineering and 2+ years of RF experience, is a US citizen, and can travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of RF engineering experience.
• US citizenship required or ability to obtain clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn FAA-specific software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and receive reports of RF interference affecting NAS operations.
• Evaluate urgency and impact of RF interference reports.
• Conduct remote and on-site RF interference investigations using RF analysis tools.
• Perform on-site RF investigations with spectrum analyzers, DF equipment, and portable antennas to locate interference sources.
• Interpret data and apply mitigation best practices to resolve RF interference with minimal NAS disruption.
• Coordinate with system users, engineering leads, and regional frequency managers.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing issues, methods, findings, and resolutions for senior management.
• Travel for on-site RF investigations and analysis within the Central Service Area.
