Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr. RF Comms Systems Engineer to define and test high-throughput wireless satellite systems. You will work across PHY, RF, MAC, and firmware teams to bring up, integrate, and debug state-of-the-art beamforming radio systems in a lab environment.

The role emphasizes 3GPP-conformant testing, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and knowledge of Doppler compensation techniques with lab verification and scripting in Python/Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or experience in electrical engineering field.
• 7+ years professional experience in L1/L2 or beamforming.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test and integration activities.
• Experience with verification and integration on FPGA.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems for satellite comms.
• Architect, document, and execute 3GPP-based testing for satellite-to-ground networks; define equipment requirements to achieve conformance.
• Collaborate across RF/ASIC/SW/Testbed teams to ensure seamless integration and high wireless performance.
• Characterize performance, analyze data, and debug at the system level in lab environments.
