Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a senior wireless test engineer to shape a high-throughput satellite comms platform. You will drive bring-up, integration, and debugging of PHY/MAC, beamforming, and RF subsystems in a lab setting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in L1/L2 or beamforming, strong MATLAB/C++/Python scripting, and FPGA verification experience. This role focuses on end-to-end testing aligned with 3GPP standards and lab-based conformance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in L1/L2 or beamforming.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test and integration activities.
• Experience with verification and integration on FPGA.

Responsibilities

• As a technical contributor, lead bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems for satellite communications.
• Architect, document, and execute 3GPP-based testing for satellite-ground networks; define equipment requirements for conformance testing.
• Collaborate across PHY, RF, MAC, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and top wireless performance.
• Understand Doppler compensation techniques in LEO systems and test them in the lab; know channel emulators is a plus.
• Trade link budgets and verify RF line-up for payloads in RF/IF configurations.
• Characterize performance, analyze data, and debug system-level issues to ensure high quality.
