Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Sr. RF and Wireless Systems Engineer to define RF architecture and line-up for Leo RFICs and phased array systems. You will model RF impairments, collaborate with RFIC, DSP, firmware, and software teams, and drive RF performance through simulations and post-silicon validation.

The role requires 7+ years of wireless DSP/RF experience, strong MATLAB/Python/C++ skills, and a focus on low-power RF designs for high-throughput satellite applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of wireless DSP/RF systems engineering experience (LTE, 5G-NR, WiFi 802.11, BLE).
• In-depth knowledge of RF architectures and design for low power RFIC and ASIC.
• Solid understanding of RF blocks and components and RF simulation tools.
• Experience in RF impairment estimation and compensation techniques.
• FW implementation of DSP algorithms for RF impairment compensation.
• MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for fixed-point DSP algorithm development and RF modeling.
• Experience with lab bring-up and chip validation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end RF architecture and line-up design for Leo RFICs and phased array systems.
• Define RF specifications and performance requirements for custom ASIC development.
• Simulate RF impairments and their impact on system performance.
• Review RFIC designs for compliance with system targets.
• Research calibration and correction algorithms for RF impairments.
• Contribute to post-silicon lab validation and DVT plans.
• Support production data reviews to improve yield with manufacturing.
