Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an RF Test Technician to perform RF measurements and mechanical assembly of semiconductor components from DC to 40GHz+. You will interpret schematics and device layouts, prepare test reports per ATPs, and assist in writing testing procedures.

Expect to work with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other lab equipment in a role that supports engineers from prototyping to production, with a focus on quality and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of RF and Microwave component and/or module testing experience.
• Deep comprehension of electronic circuits fundamentals and RF measurement methods.
• Strong RF electrical measurement knowledge (return loss, insertion loss, gain, noise figure, intermodulation, harmonics).
• Experience with test instruments: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, Meters.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and mechanically assemble RF components from 20MHz to 40GHz including filters, mixers, switches, diplexers, multiplexers, LNAs, and RF modules.
• Conduct RF/Microwave tests using lab equipment such as network analyzers, signal analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters.
• Perform thermal and environmental tests; debug problems using test equipment to ensure high-quality products.
• Set up test equipment for testing production hardware independently.
• Work from schematics, drawings, and procedures; support engineers with prototyping and first articles.
