Job summary

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to design and test RF components and antenna systems for RFID backscatter. You will mentor junior engineers and lead tasks from concept through validation.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware design, RF testing, and collaboration across engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10–13 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of RF test equipment and measurement tools.
• Antenna design and development experience.
• HFSS experience preferred.
• Mentor PADS/DxDesigner experience for schematic capture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and evaluate UHF and microwave transmitters and I/Q receivers for RFID backscatter systems.
• Utilize CAD software as part of the design and development process.
• Perform functional tests on electronic assemblies and document results.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues during product development.
• Research component specifications for use in designs.
• Provide estimates of task duration.
