Qualifications

• Typically requires 10-13 years of related experience.

• Extensive knowledge of RF test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers).
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and hardware design skills.
• Systems integration and technical documentation experience.
• Antenna design and development experience.
• Familiar with synthesizers, modulators, ALC loops, PA, RF front ends, I/Q demodulators.
• HFSS experience preferred.
• PADS/DxDesigner schematic capture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems. Performs routine RF and antenna specific design tasks associated with the development of new products or sustaining existing products. May mentor more junior engineers.

• Performs functional tests on relevant electronic assemblies and documents results.
• Assists in troubleshooting issues that arise from product development.

• Mentor PADS/DxDesigner experience for schematic capture preferred.
