Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff RF Engineer to design and validate board-level RF electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems. You will own RF circuits from concept through validation, including schematic capture, PCB layout, simulations, and test design.

The role requires a BS or MS in EE and about 8 years of experience in RF design, proficiency with CST/ADS and Altium, and strong communication skills for reviews and proposals.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8 years of industry experience in RF design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CST and ADS, and Altium.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits and systems through all development phases, from concept to in-orbit support.
• Perform board-level schematic design and PCB layout of RF circuits and system-level concepts (link budgets, modulation).
• Develop block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB routing, simulations, and test design.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive team.
• Contribute to proposal-writing efforts.
