Job summary

Broadcom is seeking an experienced RF engineer to collaborate with design, integration, test and qualification teams in San Jose, CA. You will develop RF characterization setups, automate testing, and support the design and synthesis of FBAR-based RF filters and SAW devices for high‑power and low‑noise performance.

Expect 3D EM co-simulations, yield analysis, and analytical feedback across global teams. Requirements include a Master’s or PhD with 6+ years in RF front‑end modules, strong modeling

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering with 6+ years of related RF front-end experience.
• Expertise in RF/EM engineering and semiconductor physics.
• Proficiency with RF modeling tools such as ADS, HFSS, Cadence and Allegro SiP.
• Experience with finite element modeling: piezoelectric, acoustics, thermo-mechanical, RF domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF characterization setups and automation tools for switches, resonators, filters and front-end modules.
• Design and synthesis of RF filters using FBAR technologies; model high‑Q resonators.
• Perform 3D EM co-simulation and yield/tolerance analysis for high-volume manufacturing.
• Generate reports and provide feedback to design, quality and processing teams.
