Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr. Manager in Core Components to lead the design, development, integration, and delivery of RF hardware for lunar missions.

You will own technical baselines, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and serve as a technical authority in areas like Software Defined Radios, FPGA, embedded software, or signal processing. You will drive subsystems life cycles from concept to verification, manage schedules and budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in the full life cycle development of RF communications hardware including requirements, design, integration, test, and operations.
• Proven expertise in RF communications, including integrated circuit design, line-up definition, verification and validation, and system safety.
• Experience with software tools such as AWR, HFSS, and Altium.
• Familiarity with DVB-S2, CCSDS, RS-422, Spacewire, I2C, etc.; space-rated hardware/software.
• Resource management experience including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and control the technical baseline for products and lead high-caliber technical work.
• Lead the design and verification of RF/digital mixed-signal PCBs and subsystems for lunar missions.
• Oversee subsystem life cycle from concept to validation and flight readiness.
• Develop analyses and simulations to drive technical excellence in communications engineering.
• Improve technical processes, tools, and best practices in the team.
• Lead anomaly investigations and risk burn-down for complex development or flight issues.
• Drive completion of sub-assembly and assembly-level verification and testing.
