Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr. Manager in Core Components to lead the RF hardware design, development, integration, and delivery for lunar missions.

You will act as a technical authority for areas like SDR, FPGA design, embedded software, or signal processing, and mentor a multidisciplinary team to deliver mission-critical hardware. Based in the Lunar Permanence unit, you will own technical baselines, drive V&V efforts, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and manage schedules, budget,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years in RF hardware development including requirements, design, integration, test, and operations.
• Proven RF expertise including circuit design, line-up definition, verification and validation, and system safety.
• Experience with software tools such as AWR, HFSS, and Altium.
• Familiar with DVB-S2, CCSDS, RS-422, Spacewire, I2C; space-rated hardware experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, staffing, budgeting, and scheduling capabilities.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and control the technical baseline for products.
• Lead full subsystem life cycle from concept to verification and validation for lunar missions.
• Develop analyses and simulations; drive technical excellence.
• Advance processes, tools, and best practices in communications engineering.
• Lead anomaly investigations, root cause analyses, and risk burn-down.
• Oversee sub-assembly and full-system V&V activities with labs and suppliers.
