Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL seeks an RF Electronics Engineer to lead the development and integration of RF subsystems. The role requires analyzing performance, managing requirements, and validating allocations through testing.

The team works on high-profile aerospace programs with a strict 9/80 schedule and no hybrid/remote work. Qualifications include a STEM degree with 8–12+ years of experience (PhD 8 yrs), RF electromagnetics knowledge, and the ability to obtain US Secret and Top Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM or higher with 12 years of related engineering experience; or Master's with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• Knowledge of electromagnetics in RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands).
• Ability to design, select and characterize RF components to meet mission objectives.
• Experience in system engineering design methods including requirements analysis, flow-down, specification derivation and interface control.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret clearance and Top Secret clearance.
• Preferred: DoD Top Secret Clearance; strong problem solving and data analysis; experience with CEM antenna analysis; proficiency with MATLAB/Excel; familiarity with Jira/Confluence; supplier documentation and SOWs.

Responsibilities

• Support development and integration of RF subsystems to meet platform mission objectives.
• Translate customer requirements into derived specifications through requirements development and analysis.
• Conduct detailed trade studies and risk analyses with mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders and manage supplier documentation.
• Perform subsystem testing in lab environments and support aircraft ground/flight tests.
