Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Richardson, TX, seeks a Senior Manager of Design Engineering to lead the RF/mm-wave Design team and drive end-to-end development of MMIC, multichip module, and discrete products.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and engagement with customers and sales to support new and legacy offerings. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in RF/Microwave design, 3+ years in engineering design management, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years in RF/MMIC design or related fields.
• 3+ years as Engineering Design Manager of RF/Microwave components or equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-motivated with leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage members of the RF/mm-wave Design team
• Lead MMIC, Multichip Module, and/or Discrete NPD projects end-to-end
• Interact with external customers and Sales Channel as needed in support of new and/or legacy product support
• Collaborate with members of other functional groups supporting the NPD process. These groups include Program Mgmt., Marketing & PLM, Test Eng, Applications, Package Eng., Quality, Device Eng., Modeling, and Manufacturing.
• Monitor performance of and drive improvements to our workflows to maximize productivity and minimize new product development costs.
• Lead initiatives such as procedure, technology, or documentation initiatives
• Assist with staffing and training activities
