Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a Sr Principal Design Engineer to lead the design of highly integrated microwave RFICs. The role covers system-level specs, layout, and device modeling across multiple technologies, with mentoring of engineers and collaboration with customers.

Qualifications

MSEE with 12 years overall experience or Ph.D. with minimum of 10 years overall experience.
Proficiency in RFIC and mmW design techniques including EM analysis and VCOs/PLLs.
Ability to mentor others in advanced circuit design and simulation.

Responsibilities

Lead design of highly-integrated microwave and mmWave RFICs across CMOS, SiGe BiCMOS or GaAs.
Write proposals for new products including technical scope and timelines.
Participate in customer meetings and technical interchange sessions.
Drive system-level specs, floorplanning, characterization and productization.
Lead engineers and layout designers; mentor on circuit design techniques.
Assist with layout, modeling, packaging choices and EM analysis of packages.
Oversee RF board and module design and RFIC testing procedures.
Guide process improvements within the engineering function.
