RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an on-site RF Design Engineer to advance transmitters, receivers, and exciters for radar and datalink applications. The role requires robust RF design skills and ability to work in a lab environment with sensitive hardware.

The candidate will design CCAs, perform RF simulations, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet stringent environmental and mechanical constraints. Security clearance is required for start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design and fabrication.
• Experience with RF testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RF product simulation and design tools (Mentor DX, HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS).

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Lab work for component characterization and module verification/integration.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical teams.
