Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer I to work onsite at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. The role focuses on designing and simulating RF products, including the Frontier-Lite Radio, and supporting space-grade hardware development.

The candidate will contribute to product development, customer support, and program reviews in a fast-paced space systems environment, with emphasis on RF engineering and system design. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or RF communications required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Fundamental RF knowledge: cascaded device analysis and link budget.
• Experience delivering RF product including prototyping and space-worthy products.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain RF product requirements.
• Design and prototype RF product components and PCB layouts.
• Develop test plans and procedures for RF products.
• Support GSE and production automation development.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Coordinate with Test and Manufacturing Engineers for New Product Introduction.
