Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer II in Long Beach, CA to advance RF product development, from concept to flight-ready hardware. You will define requirements, prototype RF solutions, and contribute to test plans and documentation within a fast-paced space environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in RF engineering, strong HFSS and link-budget skills, and experience with space-grade hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or RF communications with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong RF knowledge including cascaded device analysis and link budget.
• Experience delivering an RF product from requirements to flight-ready hardware.
• Understanding of RF communications and navigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain RF product requirements.
• Design and prototype RF products including PCB layout.
• Develop test plans and procedures for RF products.
• Support GSE and production automation development.
• Prepare product documentation such as ICDs and manuals.
• Collaborate with Test and Manufacturing to drive NPI.
