Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer II for on-site work at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. You will lead RF product development, from requirements to prototyping and production support, in a fast-paced space environment.

The role demands 8+ years in RF engineering, strong system and PCB design skills, and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Base pay ranges reflect CA compensation and include comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical engineering and 8+ years of experience.
• RF knowledge including cascaded device analysis, link budget analysis, and HFSS.
• Experience delivering RF product including prototyping and space-worthy products.
• Solid understanding of RF communications and navigation systems.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain requirements specifications.
• Design and prototype the RF product including component selection and PCB layout / fabrication / packaging.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Develop GSE and production automation.
• Create product documentation including ICDs and User Manuals.
• Coordinate with Test and Manufacturing Engineers to drive New Product Introduction.
