Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer II to be based onsite at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. You will design and simulate RF products, including the Frontier-Lite Radio, collaborating with the radio development team to deliver space-worthy hardware. The role requires a strong RF engineering background, system and PCB/circuit design, and 8+ years of experience.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or RF communications.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including cascaded device analysis, link budget analysis, and HFSS.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain requirements specifications.
• Support the development process, ensuring alignment with product capabilities.
• Design and prototype the RF product including PCB layout and fabrication.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Support design and development of production automation and documentation.
• Liaise with Test and Manufacturing Engineers to drive New Product Introduction.
• Review proposals to assess compliance and scope development activities.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers and troubleshoot anomalies.
