Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Device Innovations USA in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to design and optimize Doherty Power Amplifiers for advanced wireless applications. The role focuses on development, testing and validation of high-performance RF PA solutions in a collaborative lab setting.

You will conduct RF simulations with ADS, AWR Microwave Office, HFSS or CST, develop schematics, select components and support PCB reviews, and work with cross-functional teams to meet system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on RF design experience.
• Experience with Doherty Power Amplifier design.
• Strong RF fundamentals: impedance matching, stability, nonlinear device characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF/microwave PA circuits for wireless systems.
• Lead architecture, design, optimization and validation of Doherty Power Amplifiers across frequency bands.
• Perform RF simulations using ADS, AWR Microwave Office, HFSS or CST.
• Develop schematic designs, select components and support PCB reviews.
• Analyze and optimize performance: efficiency, gain, linearity, ACLR, EVM, PAE, thermal.
• Support prototype development, debugging, tuning and lab verification.
• Use RF test equipment: VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements.
• Document design methodologies, test results and specifications.
• Support product transition from development to production and manufacturing validation.
