AMETEK Amplifier Research in Souderton, PA, is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to lead architecture, design, and validation of high‑power RF and microwave amplifiers. You will own complex development programs, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across functions to deliver high‑performance solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities span RF circuit design, matching networks, test plans, and collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8–10 years RF/microwave design experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Proven experience designing RF/microwave power amplifiers and related subsystems.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line theory, impedance matching, and Smith Chart analysis.
• Experience with RF design tools and RF test equipment.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into robust engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF/microwave circuit design, analysis, and optimization for broadband, high‑power amplifiers.
• Define architectures and approaches for new product development programs.
• Perform advanced RF modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Lead design reviews and provide technical oversight across development activities.
• Develop matching networks, power combining structures, and bias circuits.
• Drive prototype development, testing, verification, and qualification.
• Create and execute test plans and validation methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross‑functionally with other teams.
