Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - RF Avionics to design, develop and verify RF systems for the New Glenn program. You will own RF design, work across RF sub‑teams, and support flight operations from pre‑launch to orbit.

Mentoring junior engineers and shaping standards will be a key part of the role. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in RF design for aerospace and hands‑on experience with SDR, RF test equipment, and PCB design for space hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field; 10+ years RF design experience in aerospace/space hardware.
• Hands-on, capable of working independently and in teams throughout design, verification, qualification and production phases.
• Experience with software defined radio (SDR) implementations of radio transceivers.
• Experience with RF testing equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• RF PCB design, layout, verification, fabrication and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify high‑performance RF systems, radios and antennas for Blue Origin’s New Glenn vehicle.
• Lead requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design and production release of on‑vehicle RF systems.
• Participate in environmental qualification, formal verification and flight support activities.
• Mentor other avionics engineers and own team standards, processes and plans.
