Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in RF avionics to design, develop, and verify RF systems for the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will work with the avionics team to ensure reliable data transmission across pre-launch, ascent, and orbital phases while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring peers, owning RF design modifications, and collaborating with mechanical, ground, and operations teams to deliver cost-effective radios

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of RF design experience for aerospace/space hardware.
• Hands-on, able to work independently and in teams through lifecycle stages.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
• Experience with SDR implementations of radio transceivers.
• RF PCB design, layout, verification, fabrication and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify high-performance RF systems and antennas for New Glenn.
• Lead requirements definition, modeling, analysis, and production release of RF components.
• Mentor avionics engineers and own standards, processes, and test plans.
• Coordinate with test and manufacturing teams for qualification and production.
• Support integration, environmental qualification, and flight support activities.
