Job summary

Amphenol CDI is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to serve as the technical authority for RF and interconnect solutions. You will own customer engagement from concept to production, provide system-level guidance, and work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to translate requirements into viable product directions.

You will lead design-in activities, support qualification requirements, and deliver compelling technical collateral.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• 7–10 years in Applications/Field Engineering or Product Development in RF/microwave/aerospace/defense/high-reliability markets
• Track record translating customer requirements into product solutions and securing design wins
• Strong customer-facing experience including design-in support and solution selling
• Cross-functional collaboration with Sales/Marketing/Engineering/Operations to drive outcomes

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority and primary customer interface across CDI portfolio with RF/microwave focus
• Lead customer engagement from concept through production and drive design-in
• Provide system-level guidance for performance, integration, and design
• Resolve complex technical and commercial challenges with minimal oversight
• Partner with sales to convert opportunities into design wins and influence bookings/margin
• Evaluate custom design opportunities for feasibility, cost, and margin alignment
• Support qualification and compliance requirements in aerospace/defense/communications
• Deliver pre- and post-sale technical support and ensure customer success
• Provide market/competitive insights to guide product direction
• Develop and maintain technical collateral and reference designs
• Mentor and elevate team capability in customer engagement and execution
