Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Reverse Engineer to support cybersecurity and mission operations by analyzing malware, identifying threats, and developing detection and mitigation strategies.

The role focuses on reverse engineering binaries and producing actionable intelligence to strengthen defenses. Ideal candidates have strong malware analysis, assembly code, and threat-detection experience within complex networks, with collaboration across cybersecurity and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Must have deep malware analysis experience in complex environments.
• Strong reverse engineering capabilities and assembly language proficiency.
• Experience with threat intelligence, IOC/APT analysis, and networked systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reverse engineer malicious binaries to understand functionality and risk.
• Perform detailed analysis of assembly code to identify vulnerabilities and exploit techniques.
• Identify IOCs and APTs to inform detection and response strategies.
• Develop and maintain malware detection signatures using YARA and SNORT.
• Conduct threat analysis and risk assessments to identify attack vectors and mitigations.
• Provide remediation recommendations to reduce risk and strengthen security posture.
• Apply TTP knowledge to threat analysis across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to enhance detection, response, and defenses.
• Document findings and methodologies to support knowledge sharing and operations.
