Job summary

Moffitt is seeking a MID REVENUE CYCLE CODING EDUCATOR SR to serve as SME for medical record coding and patient charge issues. You will educate clinicians, RI/HIM staff and nurses; design curricula for new processes and lead audit programs for quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include CMS changes communication, education calendar approvals, and ensuring onboarding sign-off within 90 days for new team members. Oncology coding expertise preferred.

Qualifications

• Expert in ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of CMS/MDMRG/APRDRG guidelines and NCHS data rules.
• Experience with coding audits and education for RI/HIM teams.
• Ability to design and implement coding education curricula.
• Strong communication with providers, nurses and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training curricula for coding and billing changes.
• Lead monthly audits and quality reviews across providers and RI/HIM staff.
• Review CMS changes and their impact on operations.
• Approve education plans and onboarding for new team members.
• Guide projects to improve clinical documentation and final coding.
