Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Senior MID REVENUE CYCLE CODING EDUCATOR SR to serve as the subject matter expert and educational resource for medical record coding and patient charge related issues. This position provides education and training to clinical providers, nurses and Revenue Integrity (RI) and Health Information Mangement (HIM) staff.

• Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding practices.
• Experience with CMS guidelines, MS-DRG and APR-DRG systems.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and implement education curricula for coding initiatives.
• Create audit/quality review schedules and communication plans.
• Review CMS changes and their impact on RI/HIM operations.
• Conduct monthly audits to identify compliance opportunities.
• Lead projects to improve clinical documentation and final coding.
