Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Assistant Controller, Revenue to own all aspects of revenue recognition for a broad crypto product suite. You will guide ASC 606/IFRS 15 application, drive month-end close, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal on new launches.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15).
• Direct people management experience.
• CPA designation with ability to apply complex guidance to crypto/digital assets.
• Hands-on experience implementing and monitoring SOX controls over revenue cycles at a public company.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and SQL; data tooling for reporting.
• Track record of building and mentoring accounting teams and partnering with Finance, Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition for crypto-native transactions under ASC 606/IFRS 15.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes for revenue and related reporting.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Legal on revenue accounting for new launches.
• Build and scale revenue accounting processes, internal controls, and SOX framework.
• Drive improvements to revenue systems and automation using blockchain data.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and foster cross-functional collaboration.
