Job summary

Harvard College Fund seeks an experienced fundraiser to plan and execute class reunion campaigns, securing capital and annual support. The role partners with alumni volunteers and staff to maximize gifts while steering diverse leadership across committees.

Excellent writing, organization, and donor engagement are essential for success. The position reports to a Managing Director of Development, Reunions, and involves travel for donor meetings and events at Harvard locations in Cambridge, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in university fundraising and administration or related transferable experience.
• Travel approximately 15-20 percent of working days; some event and weekend work.
• Experience with databases and Microsoft Windows.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute class reunion fundraising efforts for one reunion class per year.
• Manage volunteer committees to maximize dollar and participation results.
• Develop and implement class-wide fundraising plans and individual prospect strategies.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward top prospects in assigned classes.
• Plan and manage a reunion gift campaign with calendar, goals, metrics, and reports.
• Enlist and manage volunteers; guide conversations around diverse representation.
• Collaborate with various Harvard teams to advance fundraising objectives.
• Direct work for and mentor a Development Assistant.
