Harvard University is seeking an Assistant Director of Development for Harvard College Fund, Annual Programs, to lead recent graduate philanthropy and volunteerism. You will recruit and steward alumni, work with volunteer leaders, and partner with many campus partners to advance annual and capital giving initiatives.

The role requires flexibility for overnight travel, onsite work in Cambridge, MA, and strong communication skills.

Formación

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in university fundraising and administration or related transferable experience.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and databases.
• This position requires flexibility for overnight travel and travel about 20% of the time.
• Must work onsite in the Cambridge, MA office on assigned days weekly and may attend additional meetings outside of those days.
• Knowledge of academic communities and proven success in annual or capital giving are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute strategies to build and grow recent graduate philanthropy and volunteerism.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni prospects in assigned classes with a focus on participation and leadership giving.
• Coordinate with chairs and leadership to set goals, monitor metrics, and plan engagement events.
• Maintain effective volunteer leadership structures and mentor staff in fundraising best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple campus units and volunteer groups to advance Harvard engagement and fundraising objectives.
