Job summary

Harvard University’s Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D) division seeks a Senior Leadership Engagement professional to drive donor and alumni engagement for Harvard’s FAS leadership. You will partner with senior leaders to plan itineraries, events, and prospect meetings, while aligning development time with fundraising objectives.

This senior role includes managing a small team, overseeing data management practices, and coordinating with FAS and university leadership to optimize engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 8+ years relevant work experience; preferably in a fundraising and/or academic environment.
• Proven ability in project management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Hybrid work arrangement with in-office days required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop fiscal-year plans for FAS academic leaders and administrators, including virtual visits, travel plans, events, and other development needs.
• Engage donors, volunteers, and prospects by partnering with FAS management and regional leads, including reporting and prioritization processes.
• Manage and oversee two assistant directors and a coordinator.
• Oversee data management practices of the SLE team, audits, reporting, and data-informed planning.
• Lead meetings and events logistics, outreach, and briefing coordination for AA&D activities.
• Coordinate internal approvals for invitations, requests, and engagements; liaise with donor hosts.
