Job summary

EPIC Retirement Plan Services is seeking a Senior Retirement Plan Documents Specialist to serve as the subject matter expert for 401(k) and 403(b) plan documents. You will interpret ERISA and IRS guidance, design plan provisions, and lead cross-functional document initiatives across sponsors and advisors.

You will drive firm-wide document standards, mentor staff, and oversee large-scale restatement and amendment projects to ensure accuracy and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years' experience or equivalent.
• Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies plan provisions, ERISA, and IRC requirements across the firm’s book of business; resolves complex document issues.
• Designs plan structures with sponsors and advisors; translates decisions into document and admin requirements.
• Monitors and implements regulatory changes (SECURE 2.0; IRS restatement cycles) affecting plan documents.
• Develops and delivers technical training on plan documents and regulatory changes.
• Evaluates and enhances plan document systems, workflows, and tools.
