Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking an experienced Retail Store Leader to drive our store operations and achieve revenue and production goals at a Pittsburg, CA location. This role leads the Assistant Store Manager, Production Team and Donation Attendants, while coordinating with the Retail District Manager on strategic plans to increase donations.

You will manage payroll and expenses, ensure excellent customer service, and build a bench of future leaders to support store growth.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience leading 40+ FTEs in a high-volume thrift environment.
• Background in high-volume grocery, restaurant or manufacturing strongly encouraged.
• Experience leading a store with $3M+ annual revenue preferred.
• Proven ability to generate revenue and achieve production goals.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, reporting and budget management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Drive store production, lead and develop Assistant Store Manager(s), Production Team, and Donation Attendants.
• Develop and execute retail operations plan to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals for operating income, revenue and production.
• Build strong bench of future leaders to support succession and store growth.
• Maintain annual revenue expectation of $2.5M and coordinate with Retail District Manager to implement strategic plans to increase donations.
• Monitor product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget.
• Manage payroll and operating costs within budget.
• Ensure excellent customer service to donors and customers, and maintain a clean store environment reflecting Goodwill brand.
• Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Train and develop Team Members, ensuring they fulfill duties and maintain company standards.
• Coordinate with donation staff to sort and prepare donations for processing.
• Ensure Production Team prices and displays products per company standards to reach store goals.
• Allocate resources with other store locations to maximize area performance.
• Perform performance management and staffing and compensation.
• Participate in company culture change efforts and change management processes.
