Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director/Project Manager to join our team supporting the retail sector in Los Angeles. The role requires prior owner’s representative experience on large-scale commercial construction and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholders, developing detailed schedules and budgets, overseeing design and procurement, and ensuring governance and best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Prior project management experience in retail construction preferred.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage all project stakeholders including client internal groups, architects, engineers and GC.
• Oversee design team and GC procurement, including bid documents and pre-bid RFIs.
• Develop detailed project schedules with critical path activities and monitor progress.
• Ensure governance, processes and TT best practices are applied on all projects.
• Prepare formal status reports and maintain trackers (permits, inspections, etc.).
• Oversee multiple construction projects with time, cost and quality control.
• Generate and monitor project budgets; validate budgets provided by others.
• Oversee design reviews for constructibility and alignment with client standards.
• Manage project information flow and proactive communication among teams.
• Identify and resolve issues in design and construction; lead change order reviews.
• Monitor risks, dependencies and commercial issues; implement mitigations.
• Maintain client relationships and explore new opportunities; advise on best practices.
