Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Cashier/Stocker to act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, assist customers, and work to maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, processing payments at the register, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and display merchandise; rotate stock.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction.
• Operate cash register and take payments; bag items.
