Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a District/Area Manager to plan and lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area, with full P&L responsibility and alignment to company goals. You will drive sales growth, optimize inventory, and develop store teams.

Weekly travel in company-provided vehicle is required, with limited overnight stays; strong leadership, analytical skills, and collaboration across districts are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated results-oriented leadership and stewardship of Dollar General's mission and values.
• Financial analysis skills to interpret operating statements, budgets and inventory controls.
• Experience managing multi-unit operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams to achieve sales targets and excellent customer service.
• Ensure effective area planning, scheduling, and workforce deployment.
• Develop opportunities in distribution flow, merchandising, and store growth.
• Protect assets through loss prevention and expense control.
• Communicate priorities to store teams and coordinate with regional leadership.
