Job summary

Solomon Page is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing, retail-focused organization in South Florida. You will contribute to monthly closes, GL accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a multi-location retail operation.

The role requires 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, retail exposure, and strong Excel/ERP skills. CPA preferred but not required; on-site in South Florida with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including GL and month-end close.
• Prior retail accounting experience in a multi-location environment is required.
• CPA or CPA candidacy is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries; perform GL reconciliations.
• Manage accounting for revenue, inventory, COGS, cash, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
• Review financial results; investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reporting and supporting schedules.
• Partner with operational teams across retail locations on accounting matters.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper transaction classification.
• Support internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Help streamline and automate recurring accounting tasks and reconciliations.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.
