Job summary

SMFCC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for restaurant construction to lead and oversee multiple projects from inception through closeout. The role emphasizes driving schedule and budget success while maintaining strong relationships with national brands.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers, mentor junior staff, and travel to job sites as needed to ensure progress and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Strong experience with restaurant or retail construction projects.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong understanding of scheduling and cost control.
• Comfortable working with clients at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Oversee large-scale or high-profile restaurant builds and rollouts.
• Own project performance including schedule, budget, and overall success.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including multi-location and national brands.
• Lead coordination between subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
• Mentor and support junior PMs, project engineers, and field teams.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance across projects.
• Drive problem-solving, risk management, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, health codes, and construction best practices.
• Travel to job sites for key meetings, oversight, and progress tracking.
