Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner for a night full-time role. You will work with physicians and nurses to plan and implement patient respiratory therapy plans, operate complex ventilatory equipment, and supervise others as needed.

The role requires a strong background in acute care, labor and delivery experience, and licensing/certifications. You will participate in orientation and training while contributing to Providence’s patient-focused care

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience required.
• Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License required upon hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required upon hire/within timeframes.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
• AARC preceptor certification within 6 months of hire.
• 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting.
• 1 year experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
• Operate and maintain ventilatory support systems and monitoring devices.
• Perform patient assessments and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Assist with delivery of respiratory therapy and education for staff.
• Complete orientation programs and participate in unit training as required.
