Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner for full-time night shifts. The role covers NICU and PICU competencies with patient care across neonate to geriatric units.

You will perform diagnostic services and blood gas analyses under physician orders, in line with policy and procedure manuals. The ideal candidate has NICU/PICU experience, California RCP licensure (or temporary), and AHAs BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required as of 12/31/2018.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner License or California Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RCP Critical care experience in NICU and/or PICU, High Risk Deliveries; 3 years preferred.
• 2 years RCP Adult critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatment and diagnostic services under supervision.
• Assess and treat neonate through geriatric patients across units as assigned.
• Perform blood gas analysis, sampling, and reporting.
