Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Tampa, FL to provide comprehensive respiratory care including aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and ventilation. The role involves blood gas analysis, responding to rapid response and code blue events, and managing invasive and non-invasive ventilators with documentation.

The therapist participates in rounds and guides patient care planning. Required: Technical/Vocational School and an active respiratory therapy program or licensure

Qualifications

• Respiratory therapy skills required for patient care.
• Ventilator management and invasive/non-invasive support.
• CPR and code blue response capabilities.
• ECG documentation and monitoring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory care to patients, including aerosolized medication, oxygen therapy, and ventilation.
• Draws, analyzes, and reports blood gas results.
• Responds to rapid response and code blue situations, performing CPR as needed.
• Manages ventilators, both invasive and non-invasive, and documents changes.
• Assists with bedside bronchoscopy and manages non-invasive Bi-level and end-tidal CO2 capnography.
• Performs respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and supports patient care decisions.
