Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state license as Respiratory Care Practitioner/RT.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) required.
• Advanced certification per facility/department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery and ventilation modalities.
• Administers and monitors respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical/non-invasive ventilation.
• Evaluates therapies and communicates plans with care team.
• Documents care and PHI communications per policy.
• Performs blood gas sampling and analyzes results.
• Works independently across patient care areas; proficient in EMR.
