Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC credentials and Texas RCP licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related healthcare field and 3 years of respiratory care, including 2 years in critical care.
• Must obtain specialty credential within 6 months and maintain it while in role.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory care needs and provide basic to specialty care per patient needs.
• Perform and supervise pulmonary function testing and related procedures.
• Manage emergency situations and participate in quality management.
• Serve as preceptor for new staff and students within the department.
• Support bronchoscopy and interventional pulmonary services; assist, schedule, and document.
