Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: CRT; RRT preferred; current and unrestricted Texas license required.
• BCLS and one of ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPFT, RPFT, RPSGT, or related instructor certifications.
• 4 years of critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain mobile for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care procedures and therapeutic devices in acute care.
• Conducts arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation.
• Educates patients and families; participates in CQI and quality improvement activities.
• Documents treatments and patient responses in medical records.
