Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I to provide compassionate, evidence-based respiratory care to acutely ill patients across med-surg, ED and ICU units. You will assess, implement and monitor therapies under physician orders, collaborating with the health care team.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with CRT or RRT credentials, and hold an Illinois license or be in progress, plus BLS certification. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active or Pending Illinois Respiratory Care License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Aufgaben

• Provide respiratory care to acutely ill patients across med-surg units and other departments as assigned.
• Implement and assess response to ordered respiratory therapies and adjust frequencies as appropriate.
• Monitor, document and communicate patient condition to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory disease management and available resources.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; precept students.

Ausbildung

Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

CRT or RRT certification

Illinois Respiratory Care License (active or pending)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
