Job summary

You will participate in rounds, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. ACLS/PALS are preferred for growth within Northwestern Medicine.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Active or Pending Illinois Respiratory Care License within six months of hire.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• PALS and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care to acutely ill patients.
• Monitors and documents patient response to therapy and adjusts frequencies.
• Educates patients and families on respiratory disease management.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for patient care.
• Precepts students and supports clinical education.
