Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III for St. Mary's Hospital to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, assessment and patient education.

The role includes supervision responsibilities as charge therapist, mentoring staff, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The candidate must have a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC credentials, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; RRT preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or related field.
• Two years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years as CRT in relevant environments.
• Current licensing & NBRC credentialed; RRT preferred; BLS/ACLS/PALS required

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• May serve as the shift Charge Therapist ensuring staffing and coverage.
• Mentor staff, participate in quality improvement and clinical education.
• Perform arterial punctures, ABG interpretation, and monitor ventilator therapy.
• Instruct patients and families on therapy goals and device use.
